NEW HOUSE PROJECT IN ALBANY PARK
Our current project is a new construction single family home at 4644 North Avers Avenue in Albany Park. The previous house on this lot was not worth salvaging due to its extreme small size and the odd location which was at the very rear of the lot with no option for a garage. We needed to get some zoning relief in order to build the new house closer to the front of the lot, replicating the majority of the existing houses on the block. Once this zoning process was approved we moved on to the demolition phase. The house came down quickly due in large part to the excavator's earth moving equipment. The Chicago common bricks were salvaged allowing for re-use by another builder. The remaining debris on the site was cleared to allow for the new house excavation.
